Julia Murcia, a 33 year old English and Yoga teacher at HAAS in Pahoa, HI, was involved in a horrendous head-on hit-and-run car accident on Christmas Eve afternoon on highway 130, just north of the stoplight in Pahoa.

She sustained multiple body bruises and minor cuts but AMAZINGLY she was not hurt more…honestly, look at the picture of the car…she obviously had an Angel with her that day!

Unfortunately her already aging Toyota Camry sedan was totaled and her insurance is not covering damages.

This Go Fund Me effort is to raise money to assist her in purchasing another vehicle.

As you can imagine her teacher salary isn’t breaking any records so she can honestly use all the assistance that she can get at this time.

Julia is a well respected and increasingly accomplished yoga instructor, both for adults and the keiki (children, for the non-Hawaii residents that may read this).

Her dedication to teaching students, young and old, is shown in her kind nature and attentive service in educating all who seek the knowledge.

Her short time at HAAS has shown her eagerness to create a curriculum to fit the learning brains of junior high students…and her success is phenomenal!

And her immense commitment to the local dance community is top notch and highly energized.

So please consider donating what you can to this amazing teacher, yogi, dancer and overall kind person that has now been dealt a devastating blow by such an inconsiderate hit and run driver.
