Life can change in an instant, and we're never truly prepared for what it holds. Since 2023, Jose has had to deal with cancer when his father was diagnosed with it, and sadly, he lost his battle. At the end of 2024, Jose now has to face his own battle.
Jose has had to undergo two surgeries: the first was for appendicitis, and then he was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer. Doctors detected seven tumors in the last ultrasound, but thankfully, they aren't affecting any of his organs. He will begin two types of chemotherapy simultaneously, which is an hour and a half away. The first chemotherapy will be administered intravenously at the clinic over three hours, followed by another chemotherapy administered via a catheter placed in his chest over 48 hours starting the same day. Two days later, José will return to Tampa City to have the chemotherapy removed and rest for two weeks; then, the procedure will be repeated. Hopefully, with this type of chemotherapy, he can shrink or eliminate the tumors, but for that, he also needs a good recovery, and sometimes the bills and travel expenses can become a big concern.
This is where we come together as Good Samaritans! Your donation, however large or small, will make a huge difference. It will help alleviate the financial stress Jose is currently experiencing so he can have peace of mind to heal and recover.
He knows the battle will be tough, but he has the positive attitude to prepare for what lies ahead in his life. He has been leaning on his partner Lily, the loved ones around him, and his pet dog, Faith, who has been a great emotional support during this time.
Let's support him in his great battle; every act of generosity counts! If you can't donate, sharing this fundraiser with others is just as valuable.
Thank you for your generosity, love, and support. Together, we can bring hope and relief to Jose in this time of need.
God bless you!
