We helped lovely Jojo, a little child from Papua New Guinea, get the treatment she needed for her clubfoot condition. The treatment made it possible for her to walk.
My relationship with Jojo's mum Leonie through the years has given me an insight into the hardships of a single mother raising a child in Papua New Guinea.
Their village desperately needs a new building for the community school. The school classrooms need repairs, materials and equipment.
Accommodation is also needed for the teachers.
In rural Papua New Guinea, poor road conditions and limited transportation services make it extremely difficult for teachers to commute. Proper accommodation would dramatically increase teacher attendance and greatly improve the quality of education that the children receive.
Currently, only two out of 34 students pass the final 8th-grade exams.
For a modest cost we can make a real difference.
Let’s help these kids have a better chance in life!
