Let's Help John Sciepura

Donation protected
When I think of kind, hardworking, devoted, and caring people, I think of John and Margaret Sciepura. I’ve been blessed to know John and Margaret for 20 years. They are known in their community, employment, and among their family and friends to be the type of people that would help anyone at any time. Sadly, their lives have been turned upside down in a blink of an eye. With what they believe started as a seizure on Sunday while gardening, John was taken to Sharon Hospital. He was later transferred to Danbury where they found lesions and a mass on his brain. John was sent home to start a treatment plan at Smilow Cancer Center in Torrington. Yesterday, John became lightheaded, so he was brought to Yale for a thorough workup and many tests. They were told it's metastatic cancer, possibly from having melanoma last year. He’s been admitted to Yale for Oncology and Neuro Consulting. John may need brain surgery or radiation. John is self-employed, unable to collect unemployment and is unable to work. He can’t drive or be left alone for an undetermined amount of time.

Caring for John, means Margaret will need to adjust her work schedule to care for him and see him through these difficult times. The last thing these two need to worry about are finances. Between gas prices, traveling back and forth, and a loss of income, one can only imagine the struggles they are going to be facing.

The couple is praying for treatments and/or surgery to help him get well. Any support would be so appreciated.
