Surgery day is finally here! Jessica was originally scheduled for surgery in August, but the $7,000+ deductible and coinsurance delayed the procedure. Although the cost has decreased somewhat due to her many doctor visits, a significant balance remains. This is a major surgery, even though some say the recovery is quick. From my own experience with hip surgery, I’ve been off work for over two months, while Jessica is planning to return in just three weeks—despite doctors recommending 6 to 8 weeks of recovery. Let’s see if we can help ease her mind a little so she can stay home for at least a month.
