Join us in helping to support Jennifer LePore-Pope defeat breast cancer for a second time.
In 2017 Jenn was diagnosed with triple-negative breast cancer and fought a tough 10 month battle undergoing a lumpectomy, 8 rounds of chemo, and 6 weeks of radiation. Family, friends and colleagues rallied to relieve burdens within their reach during her fight. Jenn emerged victorious and was able to continue her flying career with the Air Force cancer free for the last 2 years.
With only 4 months to go until retirement, Jenn was diagnosed with HER-2/neu positive breast cancer on February 25th. On March 5th she underwent a double mastectomy and is currently recovering with the aid of her husband George. The next year will consist of several treatments that once again begin with chemo. Along with the physical and mental burden, also comes the financial burden. Out of pocket costs associated with medical treatment and supplies are expected to exceed $20,000. This news comes only 1 week after paying off the last of the previous cancer treatment bills.
No doubt Jenn’s strength, courage and faith will once again carry her to victory. Let’s help out where we can while she’s taking this fight head on! Help to make sure her well-deserved retirement plan with her husband George, the dogs, the cats and the chickens remains uncompromised. If you can’t send a buck, send a prayer or a homemade bowl of soup.
Godspeed Jenn, we have your back!
