Let's help Jayson Waldman beat cancer!
Donation protected
Over the past year, Jayson has been in and out of the hospital for infections and other medical issues. Each time he was told he had a urinary infection and or an infection within the prostate. He would frequently visit the ER, and each time experienced unbearable pain and fever. He would be admitted, placed on heavy-duty antibiotics and sent home after a few days. A little over a month ago, Jayson was directed to take an MRI and he was diagnosed with Pancreatic Cancer. He is presently in the hospital recovering from the Whipple procedure.
Those of you that know Jayson, know that he is the type of person that is always ready to lend a helping hand to his family, friends and even strangers. Jayson has dedicated his entire life to his two children Evan and Farrah, who are now amazing adults because of him. Raising two children alone is no easy task for any single parent, yet no one has done it better than Jayson. He commutes every day to Brooklyn and works after-school jobs to do whatever he can for his children and now grandchildren, never for himself. As a teacher, he counted on the money one obtains for all the days he had saved throughout his 20-plus years at the NYCDOE. However, due to the logistics of the job, he will lose the money he counted on as savings for all these years while he is out beating this diagnosis. As we know, Jayson lives alone and will be in for a tough road ahead with treatments, medical bills and home care. Let's give back to Jayson for all he has done for all of us!
After considering options for showing our love and support for Jayson, this "gofundme" seemed most practical and direct. While all Jayson, Evan and Farrah ask for is our thoughts and prayers, we hope to alleviate the burden of unforeseen expenses while they care for Jayson in the coming months. Your contribution will help with home care, prepared dinners, loss of work etc. Any amount is appreciated. If you do not have the means to support this fund monetarily, please show your support by sharing this on Facebook or any social media sight for others to see. We all look forward to seeing Jayson back in good health and in the stands of Yankee Stadium where he belongs.
