Let’s help Jason, Laura and family.

On May 6, 2020, Jason Morell went into emergency with pain. What was supposed to be a quick trip to emergency, has turned into over 2 years, with multiple ICU stays and daily changes. He turned 50 last summer, and we all should have had beer, sausage, pickled eggs and birthday cake with him. He has twin sons, Riley and Miles who share a birthday with him, and they will turn 20 this summer. They missed having their dad at grad, Christmases, birthdays and just everyday. Through all of this, Laura has been a rockstar. Covid made this whole situation impossible, but Laura navigated the system with Jason’s needs as the priority. She also works at RBC, and the plan for discharge is finally this summer.
We all want Jason home with his family, but there will be modifications required, to their house and to their vehicles and to their life. And we all know this will cost money. This is why I am asking you to help this family, their volunteer hours have kept Starbuck alive. My original plan was to wait till Jason had a discharge date, but I know they will need things for him to come home. Thanks in advance.
