Let’s Help Jason Battle Cancer

Donation protected
It’s been quite the challenge to figure how to capture the value of a friend, father, and co-worker in a few short paragraphs. Jason and I met 4 years ago in the summer of 2014 when we were interviewing for an open Carpenter position.  He came in to our office that afternoon straight from a job site, covered in dust, drywall spackle, caulk, etc. I remember immediately thinking that I liked that about him. He was honest and up-front about who he is right from the beginning. He is who he is at all times. It became apparent during our brief conversation that his current employment situation was untenable - a very high-stress, low-paying thankless job. But it was really difficult for him to really say anything negative about his employer or that company.  He just mentioned being grateful for a job. We snatched him up and hired him on the spot and the rest is history.  Since then, Jason has been not only an excellent employee with a sophisticated carpentry skill set, but a dear friend and a client favorite. Every single customer loves Jason. He’s fanatical about doing things the right way even when nobody is watching. Last summer, he was diagnosed with an aggressive form of cancer. He was unable to work for 6 months while going through chemotherapy and radiation. He was given a clean bill of health after those successful treatments and started back with us in January. He worked his tail off to get back in the groove and everything was going great until the bad news hit again in June - a scan showed the cancer came back in a few other places and he immediately had to go back to chemo. He’s currently receiving 6 more treatments this summer and fall and it’s just a crushing blow for him, for us and most of all, his family. Not only is it a very difficult process mentally and physically, but it’s also an incredible strain financially for Jason and April and their 4 kids including the adorable almost 2-year old Mini-Jason (Liam.) I’ve never done a GoFund Me page, and Jason would never ask for help in any way, but as the medical bills and life’s expenses pile up, I wanted to invite other people to help the Morgan family. They are wonderful people and I know they would be eternally grateful. Jason is in our prayers - for a full recovery and that he would live a long, happy life. Thank you so much for your help!
