Let’s help Janice as she fights for her life!

Hi friends, my heart is heavy watching my friend Janice Charlton fight for her life.

In February 2021, Janice was diagnosed which was described as a ganglionic cyst to her right knee. Tragically that initial diagnosis was incorrect which led to months and months of her knee not being treated correctly. This past October, a team of physicians at the Mass General Hospital correctly diagnosed her with a rare and aggressive form of soft tissue cancer (sarcoma) to her knee. Since the cancer diagnosis, she has undergone 3 surgeries and 2 ½ months of radiation treatment. Despite the surgeries and radiation treatment, the cancer spread to her lymphatic system. The next phase of treatments will start in early March where she will start her second round of radiation in addition to aggressive chemotherapy. Janice has been blessed with a tremendous team of physicians caring for her at the Mass General Hospital.

As we all know, Janice is one of the kindest, generous and compassionate person I have ever known. She is such a hard worker and is self-employed.

Her future is questionable but she continues to try to be strong, positive and optimistic as she anticipates the next phase of treatments.
