Dear family and friends,

I am reaching out to you with all my heart to share the story of Iviannys Jimenez.

Right now, she is facing a big challenging battle against stage 5 chronic kidney disease (CKD). It is the most advanced stage of kidney disease. The kidneys have lost most or all their function and cannot filter waste from the blood. She needs hemodialysis and a kidney to survive.

Since she was 8 years old, she has had severe bilateral kidney failure. At the age of 12, she had her first transplant, but her new kidney only functioned through 2016. When she was 20, she began kidney hemodialysis.

In 2021, she found a new donor, but a transplant was impossible to perform due to the absence of healthcare services and materials in Venezuela.

To save her life, her family chose to mortgage the house and sell all their belongings to be able to move to Spain.

Iviannys is a persistent and courageous person. She is hospitalized in Spain, and her journey ahead is long and hard, both emotionally and financially. Medical treatments, consultations, and other associated costs are adding up. She has an overwhelming burden on her shoulders.

She has been diagnosed with A) Thrombosis of the Right Brachiocephalic Trunk. B) Thrombosis of the Left Brachiocephalic Trunk. C) Thrombosis of the right femoral vein. D) Severe hypocalcemia. E) Severe hyperkalemia. F) Stage 5 chronic kidney disease in Hemodialysis.

Also, the left side of her body is collapsed and her veins are blocked to perform the hemodialysis. She has already had surgery on this side of her body.

IVIANNYS JIMENEZ.

Queridos familiares y amigos, me dirijo a ustedes de todo corazón para compartir la historia de mi amiga Iviannys Jiménez.

Iviannys, en este momento enfrenta una batalla desafiante contra la enfermedad renal crónica (ERC) en etapa 5, la cual es la etapa más avanzada de la enfermedad renal. Los riñones han perdido la mayor parte o la totalidad de su función y no pueden filtrar los desechos de la sangre. Por esta razón, ella necesita hemodiálisis o un trasplante de riñón para sobrevivir.

Desde los 8 años, ella padece insuficiencia renal bilateral grave. A los 12 años, recibió su primer trasplante, pero su nuevo riñón solo funcionó hasta 2016. Cuando tenía 20 años, comenzó la hemodiálisis renal.

En 2021, encontró un nuevo donante, pero fue imposible realizar el trasplante por la falta de servicios y materiales de salud en Venezuela.

Para salvar su vida, su familia optó por hipotecar la casa y vender todas sus pertenencias para poder trasladarse a España.

Iviannys es una persona persistente y valiente. Está hospitalizada en España y el camino que le espera es largo y difícil, tanto emocional como económicamente.

Ella, ha sido diagnosticada con: A) Trombosis de Tronco braquiocefálico Derecho. B) Trombosis de Tronco braquiocefálico Izquierdo. C) Trombosis de Vena Femoral Derecha. D) Hipocalcemia grave. E) Hiperpotasemia Grave. F) Enfermedad Renal Crónica Grado 5 en Hemodiálisis. Los tratamientos médicos, consultas y otros costos asociados se están acumulando. Tiene una carga abrumadora sobre sus hombros.

El lado derecho del cuerpo de Iviannys, esta colapsado, tiene sus venas y arterias obstruidas. Actualmente, fue intervenida quirúrgicamente.

En este momento, podemos marcar la diferencia.
