IAIN NEEDS 3RD SURGERY AND HOME-BATH RENOVATION

Erin Hellberg and Samantha Chierchio are doing this fundraiser for a wonderful rescue foster family, Kristie Lynn Innes and her family, AJ and Iain. Long story short... Iain has been in and out of the hospital over the past 2 years and had a few different back surgeries. To date, Iain has not been home since 9/29/22.

Iain had 2 recent spinal fusions with serious complications... he told the doctors he had numbness and they sent him home anyway saying he had a cyst on his spine and that they were going to schedule the surgery. While at home, he collapsed and went to the emergency room. It turned out not to be a cyst on the spine but a hematoma from the prior surgery. Now, after being in the hospital and rehab for another month it has been determined that he is partially paralyzed learning to walk.

He is being sent home within a week and considered to be a functioning paraplegic. Iain will be in a wheelchair and continue rehabbing. They are in desperate need of a ramp to get Iain into the home, he will need a new bathroom set up and they need the bathroom door widened to help with his wheelchair accessibility. They're going down to one income, Kristie is a teacher, and will not receive disability monies for up to 6 months. They need to pay their mortgage and put food on the table.

This is a lot to deal with for one family and we'd like to try to make life a little bit easier for Kristie, Iain and her son AJ, and let them focus only on Iain's healing and not how they're going to pay the bills.
