Hi my name is Macie and I am reaching out to the community to ask for help. 3 o’clock in the morning I got a call from my friend Zucely who is the owner of Heredia art collective saying bear west bbq is on fire right next door. The shop got smoke damage and thought we were saved. We later found out the firefighters had to cut holes in the roof to let all the trapped smoke out and they worked so hard for hours to help but after they locked up and went home with the rain upon arriving back they arrived to a flooded shop, ceiling is caving in and dripping water everywhere because of the rain. There is water damage everywhere. The whole place was flooded and we expect more rain to come. Fire and Water damage is not covered on the insurance and we have to now remove everything before it all caves in and damages further. There won’t be power for a little and the air quality is not ok. It’s no longer safe for anyone to call this tattoo shop a home anymore. This tattoo shop does a lot for the community anytime there’s a family that needs help they show up. During the holidays they give back to the community. They do fundraisers to give kids a great Christmas. They adopt kids that are in foster care and make sure that they get a wonderful Christmas. This group of tattoo artist goes above and beyond for the community and I would really like it if anybody could help even if you don’t have much. Every dollar counts if you can’t afford to donate no worries, but if you could please share it, it would be very much appreciated. They need help financially to find a new home as they’re starting from square 1 again.
Again, thank you so much to all the support we have got so far and for all the local shops that have stepped up and offered some temporary housing for the artist. please follow all the artists and support them with a tattoo, donation, a prayer, or just by sharing this.
if you know Emilio and Zucely the owners personally they are also taking donations through there social pay. Please reach out.
