Helping our Friend Erik Brown Heal & Thrive!

First, for starters many of our old school friends might be asking what happened to Erik, he was always on Facebook and then disappeared. The short answer is his health has become too challenging and he needed to greatly simplify life and try and reserve what little energy he has these days for managing the basics. He plans to return if he can get some or all of his health back. He misses you.

Now the reason for our outreach.

Erik Brown, paralyzed since a 1998 car accident, has faced numerous setbacks with his health the last 25 years, but has persistently tried to be his own man without leaning on
others whether his once being a Dance DJ, Event promoter, building his Clothing Store and then being a graphic designer. Chronic health issues, including gastrointestinal pains and inflammation since 2005 is when the real set-backs began, having impacted his ability to work effectively. Despite holistic treatments and medical consultations, the cause remained elusive as all Doctors concluded nothing. Blood charts and other test always came up inconclusive, despite the pain and fatigue.

In the midst of the Covid Era in 2021, Erik's health further declined, possibly due to long Covid. Bedridden most of the day for two years, he now struggles to make ends meet with
limited energy for design work. And then to add to the burden of health stresses, Erik had to have Double-Cataract surgery for his failing eyesight, unfortunately the surgeries didn’t
work and only made his sight unbearably worse, which only further added to his burden of health stresses. This felt like the end for Erik in terms of trying to keep his spirits positive.

A long-time friend of Erik’s who moved to Thailand , got married, built a business and now has a daughter suggested a move to Pattaya, Thailand would be good for him where the
warm climate and affordable living, the plethora of holistic massage, acupuncture, etc could improve his health. Surprisingly, he can maintain his monthly SSI allowance, making the move viable, and over in Thailand this small allowance actually has some value. The final deciding factor is the opportunity for stem cell treatment in Thailand to address a
decade-long open wound on Erik's tailbone.

With no savings, we hope to raise funds for the move and getting him immediate holistic health care upon arrival. Most of his belongings have now been sold off or given away, and he plans to relocate with only a suitcase, laptop, and wheelchair even if it means arriving with only the change in his pockets.

Now nearly 56 years old, Erik feels he hasn’t much more time with his current conditions as they are and he’s desperate to make one last attempt at trying to get his heath turned around so he may enjoy some level of a quality life. To embrace joy again, spread love, remember who he really is.

Our goal is to ease Erik's transition, relieve financial stress, and enable him to access essential holistic health practices. Erik is determined to pursue this new chapter, believing it's his only chance for an improved quality of life. If you remember Erik from his vibrant days, consider supporting his journey to regain vitality and well-being.
