Let's help Eva Riyanto...

My name Aliang/Sunny and I would like to start this GoFundMe page for my dear friend that I have known for almost more than 18 years: Eva Riyanto.
I met Eva from the local church community; she is a long-time member of the church, and as far as I can remember, she has always been active in taking part in church services and youth events. She is a bright, joyful, energetic woman with a humble personality. Eva is always willing to serve others inside and outside of the church.
I don’t think I can describe how much suffering Eva is experiencing, mentally and physically. And I don’t think words can represent the pain, strength and endurance of Eva with her parent holds as they experiencing these events with limited financial resources.
About 15 years ago, Eva was diagnosed with lupus at the age of 21 (Lupus is an inflammatory disease caused when the immune system attacks its own tissues). Since then, she has and continues to experience so many treatments and so many medications due to the excruciating pain in her body.
At one point, lupus reached Eva’s kidney, and after 6 months of chemotherapy and stronger medication, doctors said that the kidney damage was too severe. The doctors have to add additional treatment, put her on routine dialysis, and stated that she needed to undergo a kidney transplant.
After many years of waiting, there was a kidney match for Eva and she was able to get a new kidney! Everyone who knew Eva was so happy at the time and thought that her dialysis and pain would finally end. However, after a few months, it turned out that the new kidney had a virus that jeopardized her health, so a couple of months ago the doctors decided to remove the recently-transplanted kidney, and place Eva back onto more treatments, including another routine dialysis.
I have witnessed Eva’s struggles and pain myself. When I go to her house, I can see a big dedicated stand-alone cabinet full of medicine just for her. And one time, Eva explained to us that in an interview, she was asked why she has more than $100,000 in debt with medical bills, despite being so young. (this information was revised on Jan 25, 2023 due to miscommunication with Eva)
What I admire about Eva is her spirit, even with all those challenges, she was able to finish her Masters degree, with additional awards, and is a full-time employee. Last week she made a testimony at church (video attached), where she explains how she was released from the hospital a few days ago due to 4 days late of dialysis, but she decided that she wanted to share her story, despite the excruciating amount of pain she was feeling and rashes all over her body.
I believe that because of her faith in God, she has been able to overcome these challenges. As Eva shares her story, she admits that she is human, that she is physically and mentally exhausted, and is in desperate need of help with her finances.
Let us help her with this GoFundMe and pray, we know her journey is not finished, and let God’s name be glorified through her life and testimonies.
