Hi Everyone, This is the Moreta-Veloz family, they live in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. Euddys Moreta and Magdelisa Veloz have been married for 11 years. They have 2 beautiful children, aged 6 and 9. Euddys Moreta has been an incredible husband, a devoted father, and a loving son. However, since May of 2023 he has been battling a severe illness that is slowly taking his life. It's a baffling disease with no definitive diagnosis. Despite being under the care of the top cardiovascular doctors in the Dominican Republic and seeing numerous specialists, they still haven't found answers. This illness causes a non-infectious mass to grow in his heart approximately every 3 months, damaging the tricuspid valve. He's already undergone two open-heart surgeries within six months, with the valve replaced on two occasions. The latest surgery was in December 2023, yet by March, the mass had grown again. The doctors told them that another surgery is too risky given the short time frame. Instead, they propose a rather costly procedure to extract the mass through the veins using a suction system. Time is critical before the valve fails completely. This procedure is not a permanent solution, but it is the only option they have right now. GOAL: To raise funds to help with medical and family expenses. THE ULTIMATE GOAL: To get assistance from any medical professional, hospital, organization, or individual who may be able to help them identify the illness that is causing all his health issues. Euddys Moreta y Magdelisa Veloz están casados desde hace 11 años. Tienen 2 hermosos hijos, de 6 y 9 años. Euddys Moreta ha sido un esposo increíble, un padre devoto y un hijo amoroso. Sin embargo, desde mayo del 2023 lucha contra una grave enfermedad que poco a poco le está quitando la vida. Es una enfermedad desconcertante sin un diagnóstico definitivo. A pesar de estar bajo el cuidado de los mejores médicos cardiovasculares de la República Dominicana y consultar a numerosos especialistas, todavía no han encontrado respuestas. Esta enfermedad hace que aproximadamente cada 3 meses crezca una masa no infecciosa en su corazón, dañando la válvula tricúspide. En seis meses ya ha sido sometido a dos cirugías a corazón abierto y le han sustituido la válvula en dos ocasiones. La última cirugía fue en diciembre del 2023, pero en marzo la masa había vuelto a crecer. Los médicos les han informado que otra cirugía es demasiado arriesgada dado el corto tiempo. En cambio, proponen un procedimiento bastante costoso para extraer la masa a través de las venas mediante un sistema de succión. El tiempo es esencial antes de que la válvula falle por completo. Este procedimiento no es una solución permanente, pero es la única opción que tienen en este momento. META: Recaudar fondos para los gastos médicos y para el sostenimiento de la familia.
