Our friend Erica (28), was recently diagnosed with a very serious Oral Cancer and she needs OUR help to get through this!
Cancer, as we all know, seems always to impact those who least deserve it, and as someone who never once partook in smoking or drinking to any degree, this diagnosis came as a complete shock to Erica and those around her.
Your contribution to Erica's success in beating this disease is crucial. Your donation will aid entirely in covering the excessive medical bills for her to receive the best care possible in our Capital Region. This will include:
- The extensive but required hospital stay
- The several surgical procedures needed first to rid her of the cancer
- The next steps to keep her fed & healthy during the period of immobility
- Assisting with collective bills that will continue to add up in the meantime
The discovery of her cancer requires immediate action taken. Due to the location of her cancer, the severity is a real concern as infection could quickly develop and evolve into a worsening condition. It's vital that she receives the proper care and support from all of us during this trying time.
Ericas journey will begin on 2/5/19 when she is inducted into the Albany Med ICU for surgery and will start her road to recovery right then and there. From that point, she will be out of work for 6-8 weeks to recover and recoup her health and in the meantime, relying heavily on her friends, family, and caring acquaintances. Anyone who's had the pleasure of knowing Erica personally or enjoying her presence through a quick introduction from a friend of a friend knows how personable she is and how she has a wonderful way about her of always making you feel important. She's never asked for help but has always been the first to support others in need. Now it's OUR turn to help her.
