Let’s help Doug Seed Conquer Cancer

As some of you may or may not know, Doug has recently been diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.
If you’re reading this, and you know Doug, you know what a kind, funny, generous person he is. He will do anything to help a friend or stranger. This applies to him personally and from a business perspective as well.
Many know him as a friend to share a laugh with or a rugby story over a pint. Doug is also a family man. His wife Christine, and kids Andrew and Megan are at his side. He is also many things other than a friend. He is a husband, a father, a Grumpa, a son, a brother, a teammate, a coach, the list goes on and on. I know he is one of these to you.
Other people know Doug as their ‘Friendly Neighbourhood Plumber’ from his company Megan-Drew Plumbing. He’s always there at the drop of a hat to make sure the job gets done.
It started a few weeks ago as a cold he just couldn’t kick that eventually sent him into the hospital with pneumonia. 2 days later he was transferred to Princess Margaret Hospital to receive a diagnosis of acute leukemia. He has now started chemotherapy. Dr’s say he will be receiving treatment for the next 6 months to a year.
Now it’s our turn to help Doug as he’s helped so many others in the past. As a business owner, he will be unable to work for the foreseeable future and the medical bills, fuel, and parking bills are already starting to mount. Even though he contributed to the system for over 20 years while working for the union, Doug does not qualify for any government EI or disability support now that he is a private business owner. This means the financial burden on him and his family will be even greater.
I'm asking everyone to offer the Seeds any support you can. Everything helps.
