Hi, my name is Kara Balatsoukas and my dear friend and Sarnian, Doug Downie, has been diagnosed with cancer. He has started his treatment of chemotherapy and radiation, 5 days a week in London Ontario for several weeks. Doug has been a Sarnia Community volunteer for over 20 years devoting his time to hundreds of children in sports, and has been an advocate for his co workers as a Union President for over 2 decades, sacrificing countless hours fighting on their behalf. Doug is always first in line to help. He would give you the shirt off his back. Anyone who knows Doug, knows his family is his number one priority. It is clear they mean everything to him and vice versa. Let’s send Doug strength and prayers and help him on his journey to ringing the bell! Any and every donation is much appreciated.
