Help Dave in his battle with cancer

Hello, my name is Eric Foster and I am close friends, as many other are, of Dave Schoenmann. Dave's in a battle. On July 8th Dave was playing golf and his wife Sherri noticed some odd behavior. Her intuition led her to convince him to go to the emergency room and he was quickly admitted. After extensive testing Dave was informed that he had a mass on the right side of his brain and two suspicious growths on the opposite side of his brain. The mass was in an area that the doctors did not feel comfortable conducting a biopsy and the decision was made to seek the best care available. Dave and Sherri traveled to Arizona to get some answers at the Mayo Clinic and a biopsy was scheduled for August 1st. Three days later Dave and Sherri traveled home to anxiously await a diagnosis. Soon the received the heartbreaking news that Dave had a grade IV Glioblastoma which is a devastating form of brain cancer. To make matters worse, the shape and location of the tumor made it inoperable so the decision was made to pursue a treatment plan of radiation and chemotherapy in an effort to reduce the size of the tumor and keep it from spreading. After 15 rounds of radiation Dave and Sherri headed home hoping and praying that the treatment had been successful in shrinking the tumor. Since that treatment, Dave has struggled with seizures, vision issues, difficulty with balance and requires constant care. The outlook does not look good but Dave is a fighter and has incredible faith, a positive outlook and has not lost his sense of humor. That said, this is a scary time for himself, his wife, his children and grandchildren and all those who love him. This devastating disease also brings with it additional financial burdens. I am asking all those who know and love Dave whether through the beekeeping industry where Dave has played a significant role as the cofounder of Shastina Millwork or through his love of golf or those who have simply been touched by Dave's kind spirit and friendly personality to please pray for Dave and his family and if your heart nudges you to give to this GoFundMe campaign, please do so. We can do so much collectively to make a difference and to have a positive impact on what is an extremely stressful, scary and devastating challenge for the Schoenmann family.
