One of my oldest and dearest friends, David Campfield, has been diagnosed with a brain tumor and is undergoing surgery on June 11th, 2020.

The type of tumor is called an Acoustic Neuroma. This is a non-malignant tumor that doesn’t spread like a malignant one but it does grow. So this annoying little jerk decided to get really big and now Dave has to undergo major surgery. It will leave him deaf in his right ear but the doctors are hopeful that there will not be any further major complications.

I’m asking for donations for this amazing, hilarious, talented weirdo because even though he has insurance, health care in America is tons of fun these days and he'll still be on the hook for at least $7800 which is why we're aiming for that amount. He might end up owing a lot more than that but we will cross that bridge when we come to it. As you can imagine, Dave is facing a lot right now and so is the world. He asks that you please not contact him directly for at least a few weeks so he can focus on surgery and recovery and we can all focus on what’s happening in our own lives. This is a scary time but rest assured he’s still cracking jokes and being his usual logical, pragmatic, and reasonable self. He’s got this.
