Let’s help Danick Violette

Bonjour à tous,

Aujourd'hui, nous vous appelons tous à aider et à assister l'un de nos amis et sa famille en ces temps difficiles en lançant une page GoFundMe. Danick est un fier agent correctionnel de plus de 10 ans au ministère de la Sécurité publique du Nouveau-Brunswick. Originaires de Kedgwick & Tracadie, Danick et sa fiancée Kathy habitent maintenant à Shediac avec leur bébé en fourrure Chuck.

Danick a subi une transplantation de foie d'urgence le 2 septembre 2021 après quelques jours dans un état critique. Danick a été transporté à l'hôpital en ambulance le samedi 28 août lorsqu'il est devenu confus et désorienté après quelques semaines de malaise. Lundi matin, il a été transporté par hélicoptère à l'hôpital QEII d'Halifax pour des tests approfondis et une intervention chirurgicale. Heureusement, un foie sain et parfaitement adapté a été trouvé et transporté par avion de Toronto mercredi soir. Danick a subi une longue opération et se remet maintenant entouré de sa fiancée et de ses proches. Le temps de récupération sera de 2 à 3 semaines à Halifax, sans parler des mois de récupération à la maison également. Danick devrait avoir plusieurs rendez-vous de suivi à Halifax au cours des prochains mois. Danick s'absente du travail pour une durée indéterminée tout en se rétablissant, ce qui causera du stress et de l'anxiété financièrement. Notre objectif aujourd'hui est d'essayer de soulager un peu ces soucis financiers. Merci de donner généreusement. Chaque petit geste compte. Today we are calling on all of you to help and assist one of our friends and his family in these difficult times by launching a Go Fund Me page. Danick is a proud 10+ year correctional officer with the New Brunswick Department of public safety. Originally from Kedgwick & Tracadie, Danick and his fiancée Kathy now reside in Shediac with their fur baby Chuck.

Danick underwent an emergency liver transplant on Sept 2, 2021 following a few days in critical condition. Danick was taken to hospital by ambulance on Saturday August 28 when he became confused and disoriented following a few weeks of feeling ill. On Monday morning he was airlifted by helicopter to the Halifax QEII Hospital for extensive tests and surgery. Fortunately, a healthy and perfect matched liver was found and flown in from Toronto on Wednesday night. Danick underwent a long surgery and is now recovering surrounded by his fiancée and loved ones. The recovery time will be 2-3 weeks in Halifax not to mention months of recovering at home as well. Danick is expected to have several follow up appointments in Halifax in the coming months. Danick will be absent from work for an undetermined amount of time while recovering causing some stress and anxiety financially. Our goal today is to try and relieve a bit of those financial worries.
