Please help Dana so she can continue to help others. Dana is a stenographer who works with the hearing impaired. Her steno machine and computer were lost when the Rahway River severely flooded into her residence. She is the daughter of Earl Holland of Earl’s Cuts and Curls who also lost his business to the storm. She lived in the back apartment which is attached to her father’s building/business.
Upon hearing the flash flood warning, Dana immediately tried to save the very costly machine and computer. The water was too high and too fast. It was too late. On her way to higher ground, she was able to bring someone else to safety as well.
With her steno machine and laptop ruined by the flood Dana cannot work. Her agency was able to find someone to cover for her. Astoundingly, when this stenographer (who doesn’t know Dana) heard what happened she told the agency she would cover the classes, but they should pay Dana directly (Dana’s regular clientele are college students). This is a special person and so is my cousin!
When my dear cousin Dana first told me about this career choice I was surprised and not surprised. She is so vividly dynamic and good at everything – especially listening! A pure communicator, Dana not only hears you, she listens and captures everything she hears. It’s quite remarkable – she is quite remarkable!
When Dana is not working, she will either be creating, inspiring or project managing and always helping someone else. It is because of her generous spirit that we, her family, would like to return the generosity as best we can.
Let’s help Dana get back to work! If you have a few bucks (or a few hundred bucks!) to spare, please hurry to join us in pooling funds together. As a family, as a community, I am sure we can help Dana continue to help others.
