Our wonderful friend Helena needs our help.

Helena’s dad has been very poorly for a while, and she had planned to travel home in the coming weeks. But heartbreakingly, his condition has deteriorated rapidly – and Helena made the difficult but urgent decision to fly home as soon as possible to be by his side.

She’s already paid out over £2,500 for last-minute flights for herself and E (her foster child), including changes and cancellations to original plans. The cost of the emergency travel has placed a huge financial strain on her but getting home to see her Dad right now is the priority.

The adoption agency, specifically E's two social workers, in South Africa have been amazing in helping to make the journey possible in terms of E's papers, but we’d love to rally around Helena and help ease the burden where we can.
