Hi our names are Kaela and Shelbi, we are the proud sisters of Cory.
Cory was the most loving person you could ever meet. He never missed a family function and would be there for you at the drop of a hat. The type of guy to offer help but NEVER ask for anything in return. He truly loved making others happy. Family was always number one for him and he will always be number one to us. He could never sit still and was always on the move. If he wasn't working he was riding, hiking with his dog AKA his number one girl, Whiskey, snowboarding, listening to country music and living life to the fullest. Cory was always a good time and his smile lit up the whole room.
On Thursday evening Cory was involved in a life-threatening motorcycle accident that ended up taking his life. He put up a good fight but in the end his injuries were too severe.
If you were lucky enough to know Cory you would know how much of an amazing person he was. He was the best son, brother, uncle, and friend. As many of you know Cory was the most giving and big-hearted person. He would literally give you his last dollar or shirt off his back and not think twice about it because in his eyes you needed it more than he did. Even in the end, Cory gave the greatest gift he could have ever given. He was a registered organ donor and they have found homes for his gifts. His heart has already been transplanted and both of his kidneys, they are looking for homes for his lungs, pancreas, and liver. He was able to give the gift of life. The recipient of his heart has no idea how lucky they are and what an amazing heart they received because honestly, they got the best of the best.
Cory was one of the hardest and most dedicated workers. He put his heart and soul into everything that he did and he did it with a smile. He recently represented Granite at the southern Arizona construction career day. Cory was passionate about teaching and sharing his skills with the youth. Those kids have no idea how lucky they were that day.
Cory will be missed so much and not a day will go by that we won't think about him but anyone that knew him knows he expects you to live your life to the fullest and remember all the good times and memories he gave you.
If love could have saved you, you would have lived forever.
We love you FOREVER!
