Let’s Help Cookie & her family rebuild thier life in NC

Donation protected
Hey everyone,

After our trip down to North Carolina, Frank,Trevor,Will and I were devastated by what we saw. They need so much help and relief down there that it will take the whole nation to come together to make a huge difference. But while we were down there, we had the honor of meeting the sweetest, most humble woman we’ve ever met. Miss Cookie Ward had lost everything in her life.

Community, home, cars, belongings, family, and neighbors all gone. One storm turned this hard-earned life upside down. She is now living in a trailer and tent with her husband, two sons, and their children on the land where her home used to be. When we met Cookie, she was crying and staring off into the flattened land where her neighborhood used to be. Even while having nothing, she and her family invited me and Will to sit around the fire her son had made and offered us food. This family lost everything but still upholds that sweet Southern hospitality. Cookie's husband had lost all hope, but we assured him that we would do the best we can to help him and his family.

There are many, many stories like Cookie and her family's, and they all need tremendous help. But we’ve decided to focus on her, and we know that she will help spread the love and support to others in her community as we send aid to her. We now know that the victims down there have more than enough supplies like food, clothing, and water, but now it’s the rebuilding and restoration they need help with. Will, Frank, Trevor, and I wish we could stay longer and help with our hands, but unfortunately, we also have jobs and families we need to care for. But we can help from a distance by getting them the funding so that they can start the restorations.

So let’s all come together and help. The economy is rough all over the nation, and we know times are tough for everyone, but if we can all donate a little here and there, that would help build the pot for Cookie. I myself have pledged that instead of buying coffee multiple times a day, I’ll just take that money and put it towards Cookie's fund. Thank you all for contributing to this effort.
