Hi. My name is Cindy. In 1990 my ex husband got violent and ended up breaking the left side of my face. I've been through 2 brain surgeries and soon will have to have another to remove tumors that have grown. In 2012, I had to have my left eye removed and replaced with an artificial eyeball. These eyeballs are only expected to last up to 7 years at the longest. I've not been able to afford to replace this eyeball since then. So I've had this one for 12 years. It has become so thin that you can almost see thru it. The fluids from my body that people don't usually see or know about are seeping thru my eye and leaving gross stuff coming out on my face.

The cost of a new prosthetic have gone thru the roof. A new eye will run me close to $5,000. If I have to return to Seattle to see my doctor the price will go up substantially. I cannot afford the gas, hotel or even the doctor appointment. I am hoping to find a doctor closer to me to not have to come up with another $2,500 for travel. I live in north idaho close to the Canadian border.

If I do have to travel my expenses could run close to $10,000.

My insurance doesn't cover this. I am in need of financial help. Or I may have to wear an eye patch the rest of my life.

I would humbly accept any and all help you could give me. I have been suffering for so long now.
