Let’s help Chiedza get her hand back

I hope this message finds you well. My name is Chiedza Mashindi and I find myself in a situation I never thought I'd be in. I'm reaching out today because I need your support, your kindness, and your generosity to help me regain my independence and the life I once had.

A few months ago, on the 20th of January 2023, my life took an unexpected turn. I was involved in a car accident l had a head on collision with a haulage truck, and although I was wearing my seatbelt, the impact was so severe that my right hand was shattered, and the brachial plexus nerve was severely damaged. As a result, I've lost the functionality of my right hand. This has left me in a state of constant struggle, relying on the help of others for even the simplest tasks.

Imagine not being able to tie your shoes, hold a fork, or even write your own name. That's the reality I'm facing every day. My right hand is now immobilized, and I'm unable to perform basic tasks we often take for granted.

I've been told that there is hope for me, a chance to regain some of the functionality I've lost. But it comes at a cost - the cost of a brachial plexus surgery by December 2023. This surgery is not just about fixing my hand; it's about giving me back my life. It's about restoring my independence and my ability to work, to cook, to bathe myself, and to care for myself like any other person.

Right now, I'm unable to work or attend school. My life has changed dramatically in the blink of an eye. It's not easy to ask for help, but I've come to realize that none of us can go through life alone. We all need a helping hand from time to time, and I'm reaching out to you today with hope in my heart.
