Cari Broman is one of the strongest people I know. She doesn’t ask for help—she pushes through. She sacrifices sleep, carries the weight of everyone she loves, and somehow always finds a way to make things work. She takes care of her home, her children, her business, and her 94-year-old father without hesitation. But even the strongest people need help sometimes.

For the past two years, my best friend of over 30 years has been living with Multiple Myeloma, a cancer she was diagnosed with in August 2023. From the moment she was diagnosed, Cari did what she always does, she prepared. She put legal documents in order, made difficult plans no one should have to make at this stage of life, and faced her reality with unimaginable courage.

What none of us were prepared for was how relentless this journey would be—emotionally, physically, and financially. One of the biggest struggles has been keeping up with the overwhelming cost of treatment. When cancer makes it impossible to work, bills don’t stop coming. Medical expenses pile up, insurance premiums increases, and now, while she is hospitalized, those costs will continue to rise.

Cari is currently in the hospital undergoing a stem cell transplant, a critical treatment that requires her to have no immune system for several weeks. This means strict isolation for the next five weeks and months of recovery before she can return to living anything close to normal life or work.

This treatment offers her hope... hope to continue being a present parent to her daughters, especially her 12-year-old daughter, who has an autism diagnosis and relies heavily on Cari’s consistency, advocacy, and care; hope to continue caring for her 94-year-old father and hope for more time with her partner and the people she loves.

The purpose of this GoFundMe is simple: to allow Cari to heal without the constant fear of how she will pay her medical bills or support her family.
Every donation will go toward:
• Medical bills and treatment costs
• Rising insurance payments
• Household expenses during recovery

I know everyone is facing their own struggles. But if you are able to give (even a small amount) or share this page, it will truly make a difference. Strength alone can’t carry this burden, but a community, a village can.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for supporting Cari during the hardest fight of her life. I appreciate you.
