After an exhausting battle with COVID, we sadly lost Gabriel's father, Rick, on August 24, 2021. As most people who find themselves in this situation, there is really nothing that can prepare us for the days, month, years ahead, especially a child. Gabriel is nine years old and will no doubt never be able to fill the place that his Daddy held in his heart. His dad just introduced him to motorcycles, and he would be so thrilled to ride with him on the Harley to or from school, or take a ride to go listen to some local music. Gabe was also fortunate to have the experiences of hunting with his dad and he inherited his dads passion for hot-rods. I know that there will be many challenges ahead for the two of us and a family as a whole, emotionally, financially and otherwise. Gabriel also has siblings from Rick that he is bonded to that I consider and accept completely as my own children, and his siblings, forever. As with all circumstances of this life, I know that I can not do it alone and the old cliché of “it takes a village” rings true now more than ever before. Any contribution that can be made to ensure that Gabriel's future remains bright, despite this loss, will be so much appreciated by myself and Gabriel.
