Let’s Help Blake Prepare for Her Future As She Fights Cancer for the Second Time
Our dear friend Blake Glover, 22, is facing Hodgkin’s Lymphoma for the second time, after first bravely battling it at just 15. As she prepares to begin her treatment plan again, she’s been given a small and urgent window to take an important step: freezing her eggs through fertility preservation. This procedure needs to happen before her treatment plan can begin. Unfortunately, Blake was informed today that insurance won’t cover the cost — and $6,750 is due in full by this Friday for her to move forward.
7/30/2025 Update:
We recognize that the goal for this procedure price point has already been met, and the family is very grateful for your support thus far. Moving forward however, we have decided to raise the goal. This will help in covering the ongoing medical expenses to come with Blake’s treatment including stem cell therapy, chemo & radiation, surgery, and other expenses. Blake met with her oncologist today.
Four cycles of immunotherapy will take about 4 months. Then she will begin the process of a stem cell transplant. This includes intense chemotherapy, while stripping her stem cells to bring her immune system to “zero”, then they will reintroduce her stem cells. This will most likely cause her to delay the second semester of her senior year, as her immune system will be highly compromised while she recovers. She won’t be able to work or go to school during this time, so ensuring her expenses are covered takes a lot off her mind.
Again, we are very grateful for the amazing support thus far and are hopeful to continue raising further support for Blake in her second fight against cancer. Continue to keep sweet Blake in your prayers.
With Greatest Gratitude,
