Help Belal Family Recover and Rebuild in Gaza

I am Belal Hamam, 28 years old, a Bachelor's degree graduate in nursing. I live in Gaza Strip and worked as a nurse at Al-Shifa Hospital before it was burned and destroyed by the Israeli occupation forces.

My Nikkah was on May 19, 2023. Despite the harsh conditions, I tried to find joy in this besieged, exhausted city. We began preparing our house for my fiancée and me to live in after marriage, striving for comfort amidst the challenges. Despite accumulating debts during preparations, there was still life, and our wedding was supposed to take place on November 16 2023. All the dreams we built were shattered, and our joy was forcibly stolen by the Israeli occupation forces.

Even my work at Al-Shifa Hospital ended and we were forced to relocate to the south of Gaza Strip, deemed a “safe area”. However, with safe zones turning into battlegrounds, nowhere in Gaza Strip feels truly secure. We now endure miserable conditions, with no safety even for a moment, always feeling like targets.

Despite the hardships, including the high cost of living and no income, our lifetime savings were wasted as our house was destroyed after 180 days of war.
