Let's help Bertie become pain free

I'm one of the volunteers from A Promise to Felix Dog Rescue and I'm here to tell you about Bertie
We need your help to raise funds to cover some much needed surgery that Bertie has to have at the end of the month, the total which will be over £2000.

Bertie arrived in the uk in May this year at around 8 months old.
It became apparent that poor Bertie had a poorly leg and began to limp
He had a visit to the vet who prescribed pain relief and some good nutrition to help with muscle wastage which often happens with shelter dogs due to a lack of exercise.
Bertie went to his forever home in July and although he still had some lameness Nicola and her parents still wanted to adopt him, expecting as we did that Bertie's leg would not get worse.
We now jump to September and poor Bertie had to visit the vet again. His poor little leg had not improved and was now causing him significant pain.
Sadly after having xrays it has been advised that Bertie has hip dysplasia and the best course of action is to amputate his leg. He should recover well from this and as he doesn't now use his leg coping without it should be an easy transition.

Please help us make Bertie's life pain free by donating to his fund. Every little helps, let's do without that frothy coffee or that posh cupcake and get this gorgeous boys surgery paid for.
