My beloved Aunt Bernadette Zuniga is an amazing mom and a friend to everyone. If you know Bernadette, you love her. Her laugh, smile, positive energy, and beautiful spirit are one of a kind.

Earlier this year, Bernadette was diagnosed with Stage 2 Squamous Cell cancer, caused by HPV. As many of you may know, she has worked hard in the service industry for almost 50 years without the medical coverage she so rightly deserved. I know of some friends who even worked beside her through the years. During that time, she was raising her daughter, my dear cousin Tonya as a single Mom. Right now, Tonya is caring for her as she begins treatment.

Meanwhile, the medical bills are starting to pile up, causing added stress to an already unknown prognosis. Friends and family have been asking how to help, and taking away that financial worry will be a huge lift off of their shoulders, so Bernadette can concentrate on just getting well.
