Let’s Help Bena!

Hi I’m Norm Adams, an across-the-street neighbour of Bena Karol. Bena and her partner Mark Gaudet are important figures in our neighbourhood. They keep a watchful eye open from their back door, they are always up for a chat, Mark is happy to help me keep my lawn mowed, and if you own a dog, and have walked down Oak or Poplar Streets in Halifax, I guarantee you’ve met Mark or Bena! They are just a little into dogs!

Bena is a sweet soul who has struggled with her health over the years, but now she is facing her biggest challenge yet. She has late stage lung cancer that has spread into her lymph nodes. She’s spent a lot of time in the hospital over the past couple of weeks, but as of today is home.

Bena needs our help now. As you might imagine, expenses are up and she and Mark are needing our help now to stay on top of day to day expenses. Any amount, large or small will go directly to Bena to help her along on her journey. Please give if you can. And if you can’t, watch out for them and say hi. Even better, bring your pup by for a pat!
