My name is Seun and I’m writing this on behalf of Angel. We went to secondary school together.

From our school days at LGHS, Angel has always been a light — full of strength, compassion, and quiet leadership. As Library Captain, she was known for her wisdom, calm presence, and dedication — always encouraging others to learn, grow, and reach higher. That same spirit led her to become a pharmacist, choosing a path of healing and service to others.

But now, Angel needs us.

A Sudden Health Crisis

In 2024, Angel’s life was shaken by a diagnosis of ulcerative colitis. What started as a manageable illness quickly became a medical emergency. She had to undergo emergency surgery, leaving her with a permanent ileostomy (stoma).

Then things spiralled.

Angel developed:

• Severe psoriasis

• Eosinophilic pneumonia

• Sepsis

• Spent months in a coma

• Lost the ability to walk

• Endured a prolonged hospital stay

Her family has already spent over ₦60 million naira (more than £30,000) to keep her alive — but the battle is far from over.

What Angel Urgently Needs

Angel is still fighting and urgently needs:

• Lifesaving medication and stoma care supplies

• Physiotherapy to regain her ability to walk

• Home care once discharged

• Support to repay massive hospital debts

• Further surgeries, including J-pouch (IPAA) surgery

Sadly, none of this is covered by insurance. Her family has done all they can. Now it’s our turn to stand with her.

My name is Seun Taiwo, and I am organising this fundraiser on behalf of Angel Izuagbe, with her full consent. We met when we were 14 years old at Louisville Girls High School (LGHS) and have remained close friends ever since.

Angel currently lives in Nigeria, and since GoFundMe does not allow direct payouts to Nigerian bank accounts, she has asked me to receive the funds on her behalf. Once donations are received, I will transfer the money to her Nigerian account using Lemfi, a secure international transfer platform.
