Andy Samaroo is 38 years old. Earlier this year he was diagnosed with Synovial Sarcoma of the Lungs – Stage 4 which means he has a tumor the size of a cantaloupe. His doctor has given him a less than 10% chance of survival before he succumbs to this terrible disease.
Andy is a respectable, quiet, funny, caring, easy-going individual. He is a son, brother, uncle, and perhaps most importantly a loving father of 4 little angels. Andy is also a person of stature in the community and it pains us to see his daily struggle as he continues to fight this battle with a winning smile.
At present, he has completed 30+ single rounds of chemotherapy treatments, each one lasting 8 hours. These treatments have understandably taken a toll on his body. As such he has been unable to work but he continued to provide for both himself and his family. However, his savings are now depleted and he is currently in dire need of assistance to pay for basic living expenses for himself and his lovely family. Assistance is also needed to pay for medical expenses beyond what his insurance will cover such as treatments, medications, transportation, etc.
Andy is in a heartbreaking position….he is now living with this disease that has put him in a situation that is beyond his control and capacity to deal with. He has many treatments to undergo. Andy worries continuously about the emotional and financial strain that he and his family are facing. How he keeps smiling and finds the strength to face each day is beyond us.
It is my hope that everyone who reads this will find it in their hearts to make a donation no matter how small as every little bit counts and adds up. It might seem like it is just money but to Andy and his family, it will mean so much more! It will help take the financial burden off his shoulders and help him to focus on his recovery.
Please open your hearts to this wonderful person who has never hesitated to help others when they were in need by making a much-needed donation and share freely with others. The greater our reach the more chance of success we will have in raising the amount needed. Your love and support as one of Andy’s Cancer Warriors are greatly appreciated!
