Let’s help Andrew in the fight against Leukemia!
Donation protected
Andrew Cawley is the husband of Jessica Cawley and father of McKenna and Melayna Cawley. The news that Andrew’s cancer has come out of remission has been devastating to the Cawley family, but as with everything in life, they are handling it with grace and faith. It was in 2018 that Andrew won his first round with Leukemia, a cancer that is linked to his exposure to diesel fuel and exhaust while serving in the US Coast Guard. Since the cancer’s remission only lasted two and a half years, treatment this round will need to be more extensive, lasting six to eight months. The previous chemotherapy treatments left Andrew with Congestive Heart Failure, which will require a delicate balance in how treatment can be administered this time.
If any of you have watched a loved one or friend battle cancer, you know the complete exhaustion it can cause. It’s not just the overwhelming effects of chemotherapy on the cancer patient, it's the strain it takes on the entire family. It encompasses a financial, physical, and an emotional strain that is the last thing anyone needs when facing cancer.
Many people have reached out wondering how they can support Andrew and his family during this difficult time. Together, we can make this scary time a little more manageable for the Cawley Family. This GoFundMe account will help take the financial burden off of medical expenses, meals, and bills not covered by insurance while Andrew is unable to work, thus giving him the time and energy to heal.
In addition to financial support, we are asking for prayers. We have trust in God and know the strength and power of prayer. Cancer is scary, but God is greater!
The Cawley family is sincerely appreciative of the overwhelming love and support they have received.
