Let's help Abood and his family leave Gaza safely

My name is Valentina, I was born and raised in Italy and I met Abood in Gaza a few years ago.

Since we met we have always been in contact and Abood has become a friend for me to rely on. Now his family and he are counting on my support, so I ask you to read his words and help me get him out so he can get the care he needs. Every little donation can make a difference.

"Once upon a time, our family lived amidst the tranquility of Gaza, filled with hopes and dreams for the future. But the cruel hands of conflict shattered our peaceful existence, leaving us in despair and desperation.

My name is Abdelrahman and I’m a victim of the recent devastating war in Gaza. The bombings destroyed everything, including my dreams and my livelihood. Amidst the chaos, I stayed at my job to service ambulances and refuel them, and at the same time I was a volunteer in removing victims from under destroyed homes.

I suffered a severe injury to my leg and my hands that now threatens to rob me of my mobility and independence.

We were studying and working in various fields. For example, I was studying at the College of Finance and Business Administration and working in customer service at a gas station. All of my brothers had their own project after a long journey of knowledge.

This is evidence that we are a peaceful family interested in science, learning, and living in peace

Every moment is a battle for survival .

I live in an extended family, and the majority have been affected by war in all its forms. Our plight is compounded by our twin children who suffer from a debilitating chronic disease known as rheumatoid arthritis. Pain and suffering cloud their young lives, as they struggle to cope without proper care and medical attention. My older brother suffers from allergies that come up frequently.

Living in Gaza is a daily struggle. The once vibrant streets of Gaza are now filled with rubble and despair. Access to medical facilities and essential services is scarce, exacerbating the challenges we face.

Your generous donation will not only help me undergo the necessary surgery to save my leg but will also provide hope and relief to my entire family. With your support, we can rebuild our shattered lives and embrace a future filled with hope and promise.

Gli altri miei fratelli avevano i loro progetti dopo un lungo percorso di studi. Questa è la prova che siamo una famiglia pacifica interessata alla scienza, all'apprendimento e a vivere in pace.

Ora però ogni momento è una battaglia per la sopravvivenza.

Vivo in una famiglia allargata, e la maggior parte di noi è stata colpita dalla guerra in tutte le sue forme. La nostra situazione è aggravata dai miei fratelli gemelli che soffrono di una debilitante malattia cronica nota come artrite reumatoide. Dolore e sofferenza oscurano le loro giovani esistenze, mentre cercano di far fronte alla vita senza cure mediche adeguate. Mio fratello maggiore soffre di allergie che si manifestano frequentemente.

Vivere a Gaza è una lotta quotidiana. Le strade un tempo vivaci sono ora piene di macerie e disperazione. L'accesso alle strutture mediche e ai servizi essenziali è scarso, rendendo più ardue le sfide che affrontiamo.
