Young people who have to go through these treatments that result in hair loss, don’t only lose their hair but also their self-esteem and identity. How can you help? I’m glad you asked. Just to help you have an idea, it is £150 for a professional wig fitting and £550 for the wig itself. In total that is £700 that a child’s family will have to pay, just for them to have a bit of normality. We have all had some sort of encounter with cancer, whether it be through a friend experiencing it, a neighbour, or maybe even a family member. It is a heartbreaking disease. It takes £10,000 to measure the longterm effects of drugs on children and £30,000 to identify drugs which minimise side-effects on children. Please help me to make a young persons life with cancer just that little bit easier. A little goes a long way! Thank you for contribution!
