I am a cousin of Johnathon Tizzy Tisdell, a local hero in Cundletown who selflessly risked his own life to save over 30 people, including infants, 16 dogs, and 6 cats, in addition to his own family, from their family home on Dumaresq Island. Today, his family has received the devastating news that they are unable to return to their rental home, which has been the family's home for over 40 years, due to the severity of the flood damage. While this flood has affected so many people, the outcome could have been far worse without Tizzy’s bravery. I hope that our community and the wider community can rally around the family to provide support during this challenging time.
