From War to Hope: Let's Help Fares' Family Survive!

Hello everyone. My name is Michela, from Italy. I have started a new fundraising campaign for the family of little Fares, 3 years old, his mother Suad, and his father Thaier, who are originally from Gaza. Due to the invasion, they have lost everything: home, jobs, plans, and prospects for the future.

On April 20th, little Fares and his mother Suad managed to reach Cairo. Unfortunately, Thaier, the father, was unable to join them before the total lockdown. Even though they are far from the bombings and destruction, they are completely alone and rely solely on the donations of kind-hearted people to sustain themselves in Egypt.

Without Thaier's help, Suad cannot look for a job until she has enough money to send Fares to nursery school. This would give her the time to search for new employment.

Thaier and Suad's house was bombed and destroyed, along with the clothing store Thaier had opened just three months before the war started. This store provided extra income for his family. All their savings were invested in this life project, and everything is now lost.

After being displaced four times, Thaier and his family, including his parents, two sisters, and a brother with their respective families and small children (a total of 15 people), currently live in a house destroyed by bombings in the central area of the strip. As the eldest son, Thaier feels the responsibility to provide for his family and parents.

Thaier's father suffers from diabetes and autoimmune hepatitis and needs medications that have become difficult to find and very expensive.

The money raised with this campaign will primarily be used to:

Given the uncertainty of this period, the financial goal of this initial fundraising phase is to cover the above expenses for six months, although we hope the situation improves sooner.

After so many months, staying positive in such a dramatic situation is increasingly difficult, and their hope is fading. I am in daily contact with both Thaier and Suad, and in these months, I have felt their mental exhaustion and the resignation of those living a life without prospects.

I am also the mother of a 3-year-old boy, and I am sure that the only thing that still gives them the strength to go on is the love for little Fares and the idea of guaranteeing him a peaceful future.

Your donations can restore faith and hope to Thaier and Suad, allowing them to reunite soon and start a new life together with little Fares.

Aiutiamo la famiglia di Fares a riunirsi e a costruire un nuovo futuro.

Ciao a tutti. Mi chiamo Michela e dall'Italia ho aperto una nuova raccolta fondi per la famiglia del piccolo Fares di 3 anni, sua mamma Suad e suo papà Thaier, originari di Gaza che in seguito all’invasione, hanno perso tutto: casa, lavoro, progetti e prospettive per il futuro.

Lo scorso 20 aprile il piccolo Fares, di 3 anni, e la mamma Suad sono riusciti a raggiungere il Cairo. Thaier, il papà, purtroppo non è riuscito a raggiungerli prima della chiusura totale. Anche se sono lontani dai bombardamenti e dalla distruzione, purtroppo al momento sono completamente soli e non hanno altro aiuto se non le donazioni di persone di buon cuore per sostenersi in Egitto.

Senza l’aiuto di Thaier, Suad si trova a non poter cercare un lavoro fintanto che non avrà sufficienti soldi per poter mandare all’asilo Fares. Questo le consentirà di avere del tempo da dedicare alla ricerca di una nuova occupazione.

La casa di Thaier e Suad è stata bombardata e distrutta, insieme al negozio di abbigliamento che Thaier aveva aperto appena 3 mesi prima dell’inizio della guerra. Questo negozio forniva un reddito extra per la sua famiglia. Tutti i suoi risparmi sono stati investiti in questo progetto di vita. Tutto è andato perso.

Dopo essere stati sfollati quattro volte, Thaier e la sua famiglia, composta dai suoi genitori, due sorelle e un fratello con le loro rispettive famiglie con bambini piccoli (per un totale di 15 persone), vivono attualmente in una casa distrutta dai bombardamenti nella zona centrale della striscia. In quanto figlio maggiore Thaier sente la responsabilità di provvedere alla sua famiglia e ai suoi genitori.

Il papà di Thaier soffre di diabete e epatite autoimmune e necessità di medicinali che sono diventati difficili da reperire e molto cari.

In considerazione dell’incertezza che accompagna questo periodo, l’obiettivo economico che ci poniamo in questa prima fase di raccolta fondi è inteso a coprire le spese sopra elencate per un periodo di 6 mesi, sebbene speriamo che la situazione possa migliorare prima.

Dopo tanti mesi, la capacità di restare positivi in una situazione così drammatica è sempre più difficile e la loro speranza si sta affievolendo. Sono in contatto quotidiano sia con Thaier sia con Suad e in questi mesi ho sentito crescere in loro la stanchezza mentale e la rassegnazione di chi vive una vita senza prospettiva.

Anche io sono mamma di un bimbo di 3 anni e sono certa che l’unica cosa che ancora oggi da loro la forza di andare avanti sia l’amore per il piccolo Fares e l’idea di potergli garantire un futuro sereno.

Le vostre donazioni possono ridare fiducia e speranza a Thaier Suad di potersi presto riabbracciare e ricominciare una vita insieme al piccolo Fares.
