Let’s Heal Montana!

My name is Montana Hartle, I am 24 years old and I live on beautiful Vancouver Island. Several years ago, I was bit by a tick and my health has deteriorated greatly since then. Unfortunately, I never noticed the bite as ticks can be the size of a poppy seed, and I didn’t have the typical bullseye rash as many people don't. Because of that, I never saw a doctor about the bite, so the Lyme was able to spread throughout my body. I sent my blood to a lab in the US and it confirmed Lyme disease. Everyday I suffer from severe muscle and joint pain, severe nausea, heart problems, chronic fatigue, insomnia, gastrointestinal problems, migraines, brain fog, depression, anxiety, and daily flu-like symptoms. These symptoms are getting worse everyday, and are greatly affecting my quality of life. I am unable to work, and most days I am bed ridden. I have been to many doctors and specialists but none of them were able to help.
Late Stage Lyme Disease is very difficult to treat. It cannot be treated with antibiotics like early diagnosed Lyme disease can. There is very little treatment available in Canada, and most of what is available is unsuccessful for most Late Stage Lyme Disease suffers. So far nothing has worked for me. It is my hope to go to the Sophia Institute in Seattle, Washington where they have great success in treating Late Stage Lyme Disease. This process can take up to two years and costs over $100,000.
It is through this GoFundMe page that I hope to raise enough money for treatment at the Sophia Institute. I ask everyone to please educate yourselves on Lyme and learn how to protect you and your family from this horrible, debilitating disease. If you’ve been diagnosed with Lyme or suspect you have it feel free to contact me, I will help you in anyway I can. Thank you for taking the time to read my story.
