Two year old Walker is the handsome, feisty son of Matt and Samantha Johnson dear friends of mine. Here is Sam's update on Walker:

"Our sweet little warrior has been diagnosed with Stage 3 Wilms Tumor, a rare form of kidney cancer. He recently endured a six-hour surgery to remove a six-inch tumor along with his right kidney and adrenal gland. This week, Walker will begin extensive chemotherapy and radiation over the next several months.

Nothing can prepare you for news like this, but we are still trying to process it all. Walker has been incredibly strong, brave and resilient. We are so incredibly proud of him. We are so blessed to be surrounded by an incredible village of family and friends who love Walker so much, and are grateful for every prayer and message we've received. "

To all who know and love Sam, Matt, Walker and sweet 6-month-old baby sister Parker, I ask you to please consider pouring some financial love into this family if you're able. Any amount helps as they navigate getting Walker to long-term treatments miles away, while maintaining their households and jobs. It is a lot, but our prayers and donations can lighten their load and help them focus on Walker's complete healing.
