LET'S GO ABOVE AND BEYOND FOR OUR VETERANS- NEW VAN 2025

HI, I'm Debb Parker, a proud volunteer driver with the Syracuse DAV Transportation Network. For the past 9 years, I've had the honor of driving our local Veterans to and from their medical appointments. I've heard their stories, seen their strength and felt the power of their service. They remind me to be grateful for WE have.

In 2021, a generous group of people helped raise funds to purchase a Ford Explorer ( picture above) for our fleet. Now, it's time to come together again to raise $22,500 for a New, Safe and Reliable vehicle. Some of our current vehicles have clocked well over $200,000 miles and we need your help to keep serving our Veterans with the respect and care that they deserve.

The Disabled American Veterans provides free rides to over 20,000 Veterans per year in our 14 county catchment area. Our van travels more than 600.000 miles annually- all with volunteer schedulers and drivers. We are NOT able to provide this service without the support of people like you.

In July, I will walk another pilgrimage to reflect on what is important, what I value and how I can leave "my mark" on those who gave and continue to give. In a world full of chaos and turmoil, having a group pf people come together to accomplish this goal truly shows the power of being UNITED to a cause. My hope is that you also appreciate the service given by many and that WE can come together to give back by raising $22,500 for a new vehicle by contributing to this GOFUNDME.

Due to regulations regarding on line fundraising, donations must be made in this manner. They must go through an independent entity ( this Go Fund me page), who will donate all the funds to Syracuse DAV Transportation Network once our goal is reached. Once we have accomplished our goal, I will pass the funds to our local DAV to order the new van. I will post a picture once it arrives.
