I’m Tom Brawley, and I’m raising funds for my friend and fellow competitor, Jason Beck. From the very beginning, Jason wanted to share his recovery story, pouring himself into the work of his 12 steps without knowing how the Hands on a Hyundai event would unfold. After 70 grueling hours with his hand on that truck, he felt something deeper than the desire to win—a calling in his spirit to step away and bless another young man, a new friend in recovery, with a fresh start. In front of the crowd, he reminded everyone that if you’re struggling with addiction, you don’t have to do it alone—reach out, because help is here. Then he walked away, embraced his wife, and chose purpose over prize. Though his family could have greatly used that truck, Jason showed what it truly means to live the principles of recovery and to pay it forward. Now it’s our turn to do the same—let’s come together to support Jason and his family, and show him just how much his courage, selflessness, and heart mean to all of us.
if you need help with addiction please reach out to my wife,
