Sometimes it is Hard to Just Keep Smiling

Donation protected
Every once in a while, we run into that special person that is intent on lightening other’s hearts and lifting other’s spirits despite having to shoulder their own personal life burdens that tower over what most of us couldn't even imagine having to handle.  In my case, this person is my niece Heather.

Heather sure is a fighter.  Last week she underwent her second surgery to remove several astrocytoma tumors from her brain.  She is currently in stage three with this horrible cancer.  She has been in this fight for years now.  Her next step will be a combination of more chemotherapy and radiation that starts this week.

Heather will always choose to focus on the positives of her faith and her family.  She will simply not put her burdens on others.

It is a given that Heather must work full time despite the treatments and the effects of this disease.  Although the tremendous medical expenses and her family’s modest living expenses are far beyond what she and her husband can expect to meet, her only thought is to work as many hours as possible to contribute to their sustenance.  Without any income, even their most basic needs cannot be met.

Heather’s husband works hard like Heather.  His yard service may be inconsistent income, but it is a critical component to their daily financial needs.  Unfortunately, last week, on top of Heather’s surgery and the difficult prognosis, their family truck took its last breath leaving no source of transportation for her Husband’s yard service (and the associated income).

At a time when life’s difficulties are overwhelming to the point where all seems lost, Heather’s only cry for help to her family and friends has been a simple query to ask whether anyone knows someone that has a used truck for a reasonable price that they could start to save for and hopefully purchase at some point.

We (Heather’s family) would like very much to give her more than a lead for a used truck that she does not even have the funds to buy.  We would like to do much more for her and give her some hope in this difficult time and return some of the love that she has always shown others.

The purpose of this gofundme reach is simply to help relieve a bit of Heather and her husband’s burden and to build their hope and strength as they continue their fight.  If you would like to be a part of helping to ease Heather and her husband’s burden, we will have a much better chance at a meaningful contribution.   Our dream would be to raise enough funds to buy a good used truck for them to maintain their yard service income.   Our prayer would be to also help them make a dent in their backlog of living and medical expenses.  Certainly 100% of all funds will go directly to Heather.  We all thank you for your time and consideration.
