Let's give G the best stag do ever!

Hey everyone!

Firstly, this is secret squirrel business so shhhhh!

My dad Gaëtan (aka G, aka Naughty G, aka lepews, aka frenchy... etc) is finally getting married to the love of his life Bourby after many years together on the 20th May 2025!

He's been something of a nomad in his life, and his friends are dotted around the world far and wide, so I know that not all his mates are able to make it out to Perth for the wedding this year, and that of course means they can't all make his stag do, which I've pencilled for Saturday 17th May 2025 and am organising as his 'Best Flower Man Girl'.

I've heard all kinds of sticky icky stories about stag/hens dos being a real pain in the ass, of high financial contributions being expected of people, of organisation blunders and so on and so forth, and much like my Dad I hate rules and bullshit and tradition, so I've decided I'm not just going to 'decide' how much it costs and then force whoever can come to contribute a set amount each... I've been subjected to that as part of hens' dos in the past and hated it!

Instead, I've decided to start this little fundraiser so his mates far and wide can all contribute whatever they feel like contributing so G can have an amazing stag do ahead of the big day!

Once everyone's contributed what they'd like to contribute, I'll know how much we have to spend, and be able to work out what to do. Every cent contributed will be spent on making sure he has the best day/night possible and I'll keep you all updated on the plan! My career is as a club promoter, event producer and program manager so you can be sure it's going to be a fun time :)

A few ideas so far are a 90s club experience celebrating the iconic music of the 90s rave scene that dad was a part of (as he has requested a party vibe) and/or a group Go Karting or Axe Throwing experience followed by drinks at a few cool bars / a bit of a dance at clubs / the club experience.

If we raised enough we might even be able to fly a mate or two out to surprise him for the night, but let's see how we go, I know times are tough for many.
