Lets give back to John Shaver

I've posted Johns story below using his own words.

TLDR: John is one of the most charitable individuals I know in the service industry he is constantly volunteering and organizing events for his co-workers to give back to the community. John was  electrocuted by a plane in July and has been left unable to work without extreme pain.  Let's help our friend keep a roof over his head, he has a long healing process ahead of him.

"Good morning to each of you my friends and family. This is going to be very difficult for me to write so bare with me and I apologize for what I think will turn into an extremely long post, but feel I need to finally get this off my chest and let you know what I have been dealing with over the past months, why I have been MIA and how emotionally, mentally and physically drained I am and how messed up our systems in this country are.
As only a few of you know, i was electrocuted back on July 8th on an airplane heading back home to Denver from DJing in California. My lawyer has been dealing with the airline, but they have tried to delay the entire issue until my medical treatment is done which could be another 4-8 months at least. I have kept this silent and other than my family, close friends and co-workers, no one really knows what I have been going thru. I have basically been out of work for over 4 months now, with little to no use of my left arm. I have been trying to DJ one handed as much as possible, but even that causes tremendous pain. I have had the support, patience and understanding of my main employer not to mention my apartment building manager and property owner. I owe them a great deal of thanks, to which I will never be able to show my full amount of appreciation. I finally was warned that I would be evicted if I couldn’t find a way to pay my rent. They have done more than I could have asked but they also don’t have any choice. There is no end in sight to what I have been dealing with. The injury was severe and I have been doing all I can, praying, resting, physical therapy, seeing medical professionals, acupuncture and anything else I can think of. I have called many of the places that could offer assistance, and because I was still trying to work one handed,”duties under duress” as my lawyer put it, there is not much assistance I could receive because I exceeded their $200-$400/month maximum wages allowed. How can one live on $200-$400?!?! I have called many local charities, churches, lawsuit loan companies etc to no avail. I have contemplated starting a Go-Fund Me account but have a serious pride issue of asking for help and letting people know that I am struggling. Many of you know that I have had heath issues in the past, and I fought as hard as I could to get my life back. Now when I finally thought I had turned the corner and coming out on top, this happens.
I have been paying for a storage unit in California with all my furniture, clothes, and many items from even my childhood, since I moved to Colorado over a year and a half ago but have not been able to get back to Cali and get my stuff moved To Colorado. Today, they will auction off every item I possess and I’ll lose everything I have acquired over the years. I know God says don’t get attached to possessions, but it is extremely difficult to know everything I have collected over the years is going to be sold to a random stranger.
It is difficult to believe that this can happen to any of us, rich, poor or middle class, someone that is injured, unable to work, but is trying to work thru the pain, and doing everything they can to fight to keep their life. That it is possible to lose their entire life and possessions and not be able to survive, is something that should never happen to any of us. There is a serious problem with how our country handles situations like this and that a major airline is not held responsible for an injury that happened on their airplane, until after the medical treatment is finished. What are we to do in the mean time? Live on the street? Not be able to make ends meet and pay bills? It is very disheartening to know how difficult it has been, and that I am not even half way thru this situation and trauma. I have tried to stay focused on being positive, and to remember Jeremiah 29:11, but I’m at wits end. I want those of you that have been by my side thru this to know, how much I appreciate your love, support and prayers and that I could never begin to express how much each and everyone of you mean to me. Jerry Schell (Gianni Schell), Ravi Myxotic Ramadeen, John Shaver, Drusilla Mott, Mike Conklin, Rae Radke, Nance Rig, Teri Liadka, Kevin Galaba, Richard Anderson, Lisa Salerno, Julie Christine, Karyn McQueen, each and everyone of you at Peak Beverage, you have all been the shoulder I have needed and I can’t thank you enough. Thru phone calls, chats over coffee, random texts to check in, tears, laughter and this terrible pain, you have helped me keep my chin up and helped me keep fighting. I love each and every one of you and thank God you’re all in my life. Thank you for everything."
