Let's Get "Yellow Roses" Finished!

When I first started at NYU, I wrote a short story exploring if we can never really know someone to their very core when it comes to love. We trick ourselves, we hope, we pray - but can we ever really, really know someone? Their inner thoughts and feelings? Are the words they say what they really mean? That short story grew in many iterations - poetry, even a dance piece, and finally into this short film. Back in 2021, we shot our film with Stonestreet Film Studios across the East Village and now, in 2023, we are FINALLY SO CLOSE to seeing the final version. However - we need your help to get there! While all of the footage is shot, we still need the funds for our wonderful editor Will Lucas to finish his beautiful edit, the wonderful musician Reuben Alexander to score the film, and additional funds to push our film through the film festival circuit. With your help, Yellow Roses can grow big enough for an audience to see - and who knows where it will go next!
